Close to My Heart Dotty for You Card with Scraps

I created this card with some scraps I had left after my Just Because cards for a quick birthday card I needed. I think it came out pretty good for last minute inspiration.

Close to My Heart Dotty for You & Under the Sea Cards

Using Close to My Heart's Wishes card design book "Just Because Workshop" I used Dotty for You paper and the Under the Sea stamp set to create these cards. Using the pattern you make two each of ten designs. Here are the first six of the ten designs. Come back tomorrow for the final four designs and a bonus project. You have until midnight central time on May 31st to order your own Dotty for You paper pack.

See you soon for the remaining cards!

Scrapdog Approved

This is Leo, the Scrapdog. Sometimes he feels the need to approve my work (generally when I'm not giving him enough attention). You do have to watch out that he doesn't run off and hide with any crafting tool or product that might make it's way to the floor. Finders, keepers . . . that's Leo's motto ;).

Close to My Heart Studio J Scrapbooking

This is one of my favorite recent layouts that I have done on Studio J of my nephew, Jacob and my great nephew, Noah. They both love each other equally and are so cute together! I got to see them when I visited my mom for Mother's Day. Noah is taking a few steps! It was nice to be able to buy a copy of this (and several other of my layouts) to give my mom for Mother's Day. While I love doing paper scrapping, I also love the ease of digital for giving copies to family and friends and sharing online. No need to re-invent the wheel!

Close to My Heart Pemberly Card

Oh how I love the Pemberly paper pack! Silly me, because I'm not normally a "blue" person, I ignored it initially when the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book came out (head slap). The more I see it used the more I love it. The blues and yellows together are so elegant.

Close to My Heart Dotty for You Card

This card was for a Heart to Heart Challenge in April that I managed to never get entered. I used the Dotty for You paper pack. I used our Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut the card base - super easy. You can still get your Dotty for You paper pack until the end of the month. There are lots of gorgeous and fun patterns. The paper is two-sided. Sometimes it's difficult to chose a side. In this card I used the same piece of patterned paper, but both sides (I'm indecisive like that Ü).

Welcome to My Blog!

Welcome to "Take 3" (or maybe 4 or 5) of my attempt at blogging my crafting obsessions. Technology and I don't always work well together, but I'm hoping that this time (3rd or not) is a charm. While I love all different brands of paper crafting products, I have a special love for Close to My Heart (which was D.O.T.S. way back in 1999 when I started selling - anyone remember D.O.T.S.?). I was only going to sign up back then to feed my habit, but it soon turned to something more. I recently haven't been as active due to some health issues, but am hoping to pick things back up a bit now. Hope you enjoy my own little corner of the crafting world and indulge me in some photos of my scrapping buddy Leo, the Scrap Dog now and again.

Happy Scrapping!
